Spring Spruce Up with Mackenzie Childs | #ad

Hey friends!!

It's been so long since I've kept up with my blog, my apologies! As you know, life is weird right now. Never thought my first year of marriage would include a global pandemic, but here we are!

I always get so excited about blogging around Thanksgiving and Christmas, then New Year's hits, I go to Haiti every January so the month of January flies by, then February flies by too, and then this year we got hit by you-know-what in March, and I just didn't even know where or how to start back up on here. I've shared my heart on Instagram already, so I won't say much here (if you don't follow me there, you should!), but I just wanted to say I'm praying everyday for everyone affected by what we're going through, whether you're a frontline worker, dealing with the sickness yourself or know someone who is, lost someone, or are just down right scared, and I'm praying so hard right now for all of it. But I do know one thing, and that's that my God is a good God, and He always has a plan for us, and I'm so grateful for that.

This Easter looks a little different than Easters in the past, but I couldn't be more thankful for the truth and power of the Resurrection on Easter than I am this year. There is always hope, and the Lord is always working! Keep your head up, friend!

Easter in my household growing up was always healthy mix of silly, bright-colored fun (I love a good Easter basket), and the true reason for the season, my Savior's sacrifice on the cross! It's always been one of my favorite holidays!! Although I won't be able to experience communal worship with some of my closest friends at church this weekend, followed by brunch with my whole family at one of our favorite spots with Easter baskets and all, we can still make the best of it and celebrate all the things at home!! If you're looking for a church to tune into this weekend, Emmanuel Church may just be what you're looking for!

I was so excited when I realized I'd have all my brand new MacKenzie-Childs pieces to cook in and serve on for Easter this weekend! This Easter is my husband and I's first Easter as a married couple, so I was thrilled to be able to bake and cook some of my favorite foods for him! (Recipes at the bottom)

I've been building my MacKenzie-Childs collection since February when I got to spend a whole day with the brand in Chicago (the best day ever!!) #MCTakesChicago, and I was so excited to see it all come together finally in our place. I wanted to spruce things up for spring and include as much color as possible, because that's kind of my thing, and I knew MacKenzie-Childs would be able to help me pull that off in the most beautiful way! I'm so excited to be patterning with MacKenzie-Childs for this post! They're also having a 20% off sale right now, so now is the perfect time to snag some of your own MC pieces!

I redid my living room by adding pops of fuchsia and orange! I absolutely love my "Super Pink" pillow and throw blanket! Our living room is now so bright and fun, it makes me smile every time I walk through it! I even added a little bunny friend to my front door! How sweet is this Dotty Bunny Entrance Mat by MacKenzie-Childs?

I added a few touches of spring to my bathroom as well! I absolutely love the little bunny on a bicycle!

Moving right along to one of my favorite parts of this spring spruce up, the kitchen and dining area!!

I kid you not I have never loved bakeware more than I love my Picadilly pieces from MacKenzie-Childs!! They're so bright and fun, the intricate details blow my mind as well! Did you know MacKenzie-Childs still hand-paints a TON of their work? It's incredible!!

I also love the little pops of color I added in with the Cake & Flower Plates!

I even added some color and fun to our kitchen, by adding their "Think Pink" rug and "Easter Stripe & Dot" dish towels! Also, peep the adorable "Unorthodot" ice bucket and bar tools on the counter!! I can't even begin to tell you just how much fun and joy MacKenzie-Childs brings into my home, you'll just have to find that out for yourself when you start your collection! :)
